Q.What devil makes so dangerous?

A.The Prince of Darkness (Devil) is a deceiver, who is deceiving Christians through people of prominence and authority.

Lets discuss the how the life of christian should be; promptly using few verses:

These verses are from  the letter written by Paul to people who lived in the region known as Galatia.

2 Cor. 12:7-10

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

“Lest I should be exalted above measure” sounds like it is not supposed to happen. But we know otherwise  “thorn in the flesh” was given by Satan to “buffet me”.

We need to understand few words and phrases. Before we can proceed as it is essential to truly understand what the verse is trying to say.

Here a list we need to understand these phrases:

  1. “I rather glory in my infirmities”
  2. “thorn in the flesh”
  3. he messenger of Satan to buffet me
  4. my strength is made perfect in weakness

Most crucial explanation is the understanding of the 1st phrase which we will discuss.

The word glory used is differently. As we can see in Exodus  8:9 verse given below. Glory is used as being exalted higher in stature due to authority.

Deeper explanation of why is it the case:

Exodus 8:9

And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?

We see Moses says glory over me, telling him he can decide when to destroy the frogs!

We need to take the sentence as a whole to understand in the same way.

(  The part of the verse which we are discussing about: “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” .)

Glory usage case would translate the meaning as:

It’s the power of Christ that should rest upon him, so that he can exercise authority over the infirmities hence his glory.

Thus we conclude in depth analysis.

Conclusion: Just like apostle Paul, we will get many revelations and be exalted by God but Satan will continuously try to beat us down using his messengers.  But will  still glory by exercising authority over difficult situations, sickness, persecutions (“thorn of the flesh“) that is brought upon by messengers of Satan to continuously beat us down (“buffet”).
